Difficulty Easy
Yield 8 Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Filtered Water
  • 2 cups Almond Flour
  • cup Arrowroot Flour/Starch
  • ½ teaspoon Aluminum Free Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pink Himalayan / Sea Salt

Instructions

  • First, preheat your oven to 350°F
Then add almond flour, arrowroot, baking soda and salt to a large mixing bowl and mix well. Next, pour in the water and stir until a thick batter forms.
  • Spread the batter evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet. As you can see from my pictures above, it doesn't have to be perfect!
  • Once you have spread your Flatbread batter on your baking sheet, place it in the oven and bake for twenty minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
*If you prefer a crispier flatbread or are using it to make pizza, see my notes below.
  • Once your Flatbread is baked to your liking, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool before handling.
  • Once your flatbread has cooled for a few minutes, slice it into squares or strips. I find a pizza cutter works best. However, a good knife also works well.
Add your favourite toppings or serve with your favourite dips, spreads and soups.

Notes

*If you prefer a crispier flatbread, leave it in the oven for 5  - 10 extra minutes.
**If you're using it to make flatbread pizza, bake it for 15 minutes, add your toppings and continue baking for another 10 - 15 minutes.
